As part of NYSED’s commitment to supporting educational leaders, a Statewide Leaders Network has been created to provide an opportunity for those leading work focused on inclusive practices, equitable outcomes, and access for all students within districts/BOCES to connect with each other and with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for support and collaboration. The network provides opportunities for district teams to share initiatives with colleagues across the state in a whole group learning environment, along with participation in smaller discussion groups to promote sharing of promising practices and strategies to address challenges related to this important work. A Q and A session after each network meeting is also offered for participants to have direct discussion time and support from NYSED staff.

Based on our annual statewide survey of network members, the Advisory Council, comprised of educational leaders across the state, collaborates with NYSED to engage in strategic planning for network meetings and ensure that topics are timely and relevant to experiences within districts across the state.

The Statewide Leaders Network invites up to two representatives from each district to participate, along with BOCES partners also engaged in this work.
